For Easter week (April 3rd – Sunday April 12th) the entrance will cost just £6.50 for adults with children under 12 free. Whilst visitors to the nursery will also find reduced prices on nearly 200 different varieties of rhododendron as well as a wide range of azaleas.
In the garden itself new paths have been created and seating added so that visitors can really enjoy the walks and views as well as the stunning sculpture collection which now numbers more than 60 exhibits.
Taking charge of the gardening team at the Himalayan Garden is Jens Nielsen who has nearly 20 years experience as a successful propagator and gardener. His previous post was as head gardener at Brodick Castle on the Isle of Arran which is owned by the National Trust of Scotland, and is home to three national collections of rhododendron.
