The Awards, which are run annually by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), pay tribute to landscape designers who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill.
Janine Pattison Studios won the BALI Award in the Design Excellence category for a garden design commission in Poole, Dorset. BBC TV news presenter Huw Edwards presented the award to Lead Consultant Janine Pattison. Her company were given the brief to create a sympathetic landscape to suit a stylish new house.
The client was looking for a simple, elegant, romantic and beautiful garden that she could enjoy for many years to come. Janine Pattison Studios decided to create an exclusive ‘garden spa retreat’ for the client, including elements such as a sedum-roofed garden lodge with sauna, shower, bespoke built-in bar, swim spa pool with large patios and lawn that could be viewed and enjoyed from any of the four levels of the property.

The Judges’ comments regarding the award were: "A confident yet simple design technically a challenging scheme with great planting."
